Central Texas outdoor spaces contend with strong sun, long warm seasons, intense rainfall events, variable terrain, and a landscape that can shift from exposed rock to established canopy. Those conditions influence where shade belongs, how water moves, which surfaces become uncomfortable, and how an outdoor room connects to the house.
Aurum’s service area is stated broadly because each project is evaluated individually. Site access, project scope, schedule, and the right working relationship all matter. We do not imply a staffed office in every community or publish a list of places we have not verified; the starting point is the actual property and its requirements.
What we look for on a Central Texas site
Early study focuses on orientation, existing trees and vegetation, slopes and drainage paths, views, privacy, access for construction, and the relationship between indoor rooms and exterior grade. These observations help determine the form of a pool, the location of shade, and whether a complete site plan is more appropriate than a standalone feature.
Drainage considered early
Pool, paving, structures, planting, and grade changes are studied as connected parts of the site.
Long seasons outside
